Ben Collins, Candidate for Lt. Gov
"Let's start by building the state budget from scratch - every year. The days of taking last year's budget and adding on a wish list are over. Let's also look at what other states have done to streamline functions, pool purchasing power and eliminate redundancy. More than that, let's look to the business community for management ideas and best practices. As companies across Wisconsin have reformed and become more efficient in tough times, let's look to apply the lessons learned to state government so we can get costs under control and taxes cut."
